I will be integrating video projection and camera still images with original drawings to create a believable environment. The environment i will conduct my shoot at is undecided but I'm leaning towards my house since i can pretty much control that environment. sample
the interaction of the piece will be simple gestures made by the character when the user clicks within the environment.

What is NET ART ?

I define netart as art media created by the artist that can only be accessed through the internet.

Net art is art and the criteria for it is it can only be accessed through a modem of some sort. The art has to be original content.

I believe I did create net art and that my peers did also.

What do you see being the most accommodated and leading form of art as time progresses?

The net art I really enjoyed was created by Trevor Van Meter. His piece was called Fly Guy. I absolutely loved this piece. I could sit and play that game forever. The style of this particular net art was done in all line drawing/ black and white. You control this guy who can fly around in this world where whenever he does something that’s in reference to a job he falls back to the ground. The music playing in the background is very relaxing. Everything about this particular multimedia I enjoyed.

I never really paid attention to how many objects dealing with multimedia we use everyday.
Norbert Wiener described Cybernetics as, “the science of transmitting messages between man and machine, or from machine to machine”. As I continued reading, I realized that people today use multimedia or multimedia related technology everyday. I for one can’t function without my cell phone. Numerous communications and technology are being created to enhance the accurateness of machine to human relations. Though as I’m sure it was in the past, it is today, Useful technology is only accessible to those of a more luxurious class rather than people as a whole. You can even find that there are more efficient computers and navigational GPS systems being installed in cars with Bluetooth technology to help the human communicate better beyond his/her possessions than there are lower class computer systems being distributed into some of the under funded schools. Norbert’s theory for cybernetics was to improve the quality of mankind’s existence in a technological society, where people are increasingly reliant on machines. Has cybernetics succeeded? I believe so. How many of us can honestly go a week without using technology?
